ST-221 – Torch stereo studio package: stereo pair 15.25mm diaphragm vacuum tube instrument microphones. This premium studio package includes everything you need. It features interchangeable cardioid and omnidirectional capsules, new-old-stock military grade vacuum tubes, premium high-resolution electronics and every accessory needed. 

The ST-221’s combine the characteristics of the 15.25mm diaphragm and the tube, making them an ideal choice for recording instruments. The diaphragm allows the ST-221’s to exhibit an extremely fast response to changes in sound pressure; the tube lends the microphones their character, adding warmth and depth. The end result is a natural yet nuanced sound. 

In 2006, we began development on one of the first modern small diaphragm tube microphones and had our first prototype ready for the 2007 Winter NAMM show. We took our time to perfect this product and created the most valuable, unique and impressive set of small diaphragm tube microphones on the market.
