Lauten Audio is a small team of passionate inventors, engineers, designers, and artists.
We build tools to help you get to the sound you hear in your head. Creating these tools requires innovation, dedication, and love for music.
We believe microphones should be original, innovative, and purposeful. They should enable artists to achieve the sound they hear in their head while removing the obstacles between art and the recording process.

Brian Loudenslager founded Lauten Audio in 2004, driven by the need to create a truly innovative microphone.
Our first microphone release is the Horizon LT-321. Brian worked with his former bandmate-turned-engineer, Mike Terry, on sound design.
Theoretical physicist, Dr. Charles Chen, partners with Brian and joins the Lauten Audio team!
Brian collaborates with Fab Dupont on sound design, and the Atlantis FC-387 with Multi-Voicing® is introduced.
The LS-208 is the result of the dynamic combination of Brian's design and Charles's new balanced output invention.
Our love of drums runs deep at Lauten. Snare Mic is released, a new journey begins, and the boundaries of our tech expand.
Our road ahead is based on inspiration and a love for the craft. Thank you for being a part of the family.
