The Clarion FC-357 captures vocals with faithful, present realism, the kick drum with rich, detailed impact, and the bass guitar with astonishing depth and dimension.
Our custom-designed 35mm capsule is hand-tuned to deliver vintage sound with just the right amount of air. This dual diaphragm design captures sounds with depth, realism, and exceptional transient response.

Clarion’s classic midrange character and modern top-end air capture deep, powerful voices with precision, while also shining on soft and airy vocals. From pop and hip-hop to jazz and beyond, the Clarion’s sonic signature adapts naturally to each voice in a uniquely musical way.
Clarion’s warm, open timbre delivers a big-picture kick drum sound that balances impact, resonance, and low-frequency extension. It works equally well as a standalone kick microphone or as part of a multi-microphone kick solution.
Clarion’s woody sonic character shines on bass guitar, capturing mid-range growl and low-end bloom with depth and precision. Its focused low-frequency response allows the true timbre of your bass to shine through, while helping resolve the age-old masking battle between kick and bass in the mixing process.
Designed & built in Northern California, the Clarion signal path is populated with high-resolution, low-distortion polypropylene capacitors, a U.S.-made low-noise FET, and a custom-wound output transformer.
Every Clarion FC-357 includes a wooden case and shock mount.

Frequently asked questions for Clarion FC-357
The Clarion is sonically very similar to the Atlantis in the Neutral position, but with a 35mm center-terminated capsule compared to the 38mm edge-terminated capsule in the Atlantis. This gives the Clarion a punchier midrange and more top-end air than the Atlantis with Multi-Voicing® set to Neutral.
We designed the Clarion to perform optimally with or without an outboard preamp. If you don’t have one, it’s not a problem. Your Clarion will still sound fantastic plugged straight into your audio interface! Want to add more color or character to the sound? Grab your favorite preamp and explore Clarion’s onboard gain settings to shape its tone and dial in your sound.
The Clarion’s warm yet open, organic sound is incredible on wooden instruments such as acoustic guitar, cello, and percussion. It is also a stunning solution on bass guitar, outside kick drum, brass instruments, and more.
