"I can’t recommend the LA320 enough! Whether you’re trying to cut a simple demo or polished final vocals, this mic is the perfect choice. I’ve been using the LA320 for over 5 years now and no matter what other mics I try, I always get the best results from Lauten Audio."

"As a full time content creator and session musician, I have never used a microphone with less demand for processing as the 320. This microphone is so unbelievably transparent and warm. Making music for short form content means that the listener is not always experiencing my music though quality speakers, but the 320 makes up for it with clarity, and that classic tube condenser warmth."

LA-320 V2 FAQS

Frequently asked questions for LA-320 V2

How does LA-320 V2 compare to Eden LT-386?

While the LA-320 V2 and Eden LT-386 are both tube microphones, they have distinct designs. The LA-320 V2 utilizes a 32mm center-terminated capsule, while the Eden LT-386 uses Lauten Audio’s exclusive 38mm edge-terminated capsule. The Eden LT-386 also features an EF806 pentode tube, whereas the LA-320 is equipped with an ECC83 dual triode tube. This results in the LA-320 having a modern, musically forward sound that saturates beautifully when pushed. The Eden, because of its Multi-Voicing® section, is quite literally three tube microphones in one, each with its own larger-than-life sonic footprint.

Why would I use the low-pass filter on the LA-320 V2?

When set to flat, the LA-320 V2 has a modern tube microphone sound, ideal for vocals, acoustic guitars, piano, and more. The low-pass filter adds warmth to the LA-320’s sound, shifting its timbre to a darker and more subdued space. This is ideal for musical styles and sources where warmth or nostalgia is the goal. It’s also great for taming bright or harsh sound sources.

How does the LA-320 V2 compare to other microphones at this price point?

The LA-320 V2's performance is comparable to vintage microphones in much higher price brackets. Existing owners often attest that the LA-320 V2 is preferred in blind shootouts over microphones costing two to five times more.
