ISOLATION

The LS-208 rejects off-axis sounds, including bandmates, pets, air conditioning, and room echo.

ANALOG SOUND SHAPING

Two dedicated filters allow for immediate sound-shaping right at the source.

IN THE CONTROL ROOM

People often think of a recording engineer as someone sitting on the OTHER side of the window, but artists may not want to work that way. So Bainz puts the artist's needs first, and the LS-208 is part of what helps make that happen.

"The LS-208 is a desert island mic. I could make an entire record using just LS-208’s from top to bottom on every drum, guitar, bass, vocal track and beyond. When someone asks me what mic they should absolutely have, this is the mic I tell them to get."

Justin Gariano

"The LS-208 has been my workhorse mic for nearly everything I've needed at home since I got it. Literally use it every day. Lead vocals (across genres), podcast recordings, acoustic guitar, gangs... I can't stop reaching for it, and it has never let me down. Incredible top-end clarity, rich low-mids (and it looks great on video, too!)"

LS-208 FAQS

Frequently asked questions for LS-208

Can I really track vocals in an untreated room with the LS-208?

Yes. The LS-208 is designed for close use in less-than-ideal spaces, from bedrooms to control rooms. Just pop on the included windscreen or the optional Shulze Brockel upgrade, turn on phantom power, and you are ready to go.

Do I need to use the LS-208 with a pop filter?

You can use a pop filter in place of the included windscreen for added top-end clarity, but it’s not required. The LS-208 is designed for use with its included windscreen. For vocals, one or the other should always be used to protect the capsule from moisture and debris.

How much preamp gain does the LS-208 need?

The LS-208 needs more gain than most condenser microphones, but any audio interface with at least 60dB of gain should have more than enough for the LS-208. Just be sure your audio interface drivers are installed to maximize available gain.
