BAINZ - How I Record Vocals In The Control Room

Multi-platinum engineer explains how he uses his Lauten Audio LS-208 to get great recordings in difficult spaces

That’s what engineering is: working with imperfect situations and figuring out the best possible solutions.
Bainz's credits include Young Thug, Gunna, Travis Scott, Future, Nipsey Hussle, Mac Miller, Sia, Juice WRLD, Rich The Kid, Offset, Quavo, Machine Gun Kelly, and many more.

We delivered a third LS-208 to Bainz, and he started talking about how he uses them to track vocals in the control room. So we grabbed a camera and just listened. People often think of a recording engineer as someone sitting on the OTHER side of the window, but artists may not want to work that way. So Bainz puts the artist's needs first, and the LS-208 is part of what helps make that happen.
